Our Team
Brett Shumway, PhD
Dr. Brett Shumway is a Licensed Psychologist with deep roots in Southern Utah. With experience working with youth since 2002 and providing professional counseling since 2011, Dr. Shumway brings extensive expertise to Possibilities Counseling. He holds a Master's in Counseling and Guidance and a PhD in Counseling Psychology from New Mexico State University, and completed specialized training at the University of Utah's Neuropsychiatric Institute.
Dr. Shumway specializes in psychological evaluations of children and youth, particularly those with autism and other forms of neurodiversity. He also provides specialized counseling and therapy for neurodiverse youth, young adults, and their families.
Trujillo Amy
Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC)
Trujillo Amy is a dedicated Clinical Mental Health Counselor at Possibilities Counseling. He provides individual, couple, family, and group mental health counseling, understanding that everyone faces challenges and benefits from support. Trujillo is passionate about helping people achieve health and success. He considers it an honor to guide clients on their path to healing and growth.
Outside of his practice, Trujillo is a proud husband and father of six. He grew up as a cowboy, loves horses, enjoys playing the guitar, hiking with his family, and appreciates his wife's delicious cinnamon rolls. He is fluent in Spanish and has lived in five states and two countries, bringing a diverse perspective to his work.
Adam Hunt
Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC)
Adam Hunt is a dedicated Clinical Mental Health Counselor at Possibilities Counseling. He provides individual, family, and group counseling, focusing on supporting neurodiverse individuals and their families. Adam is passionate about helping parents of neurodiverse children navigate parenting challenges while caring for their own emotional well-being. He also works with adults who identify as neurodiverse—whether officially diagnosed or not—supporting them in managing anxiety, OCD, trauma, depression, and other co-occurring mental health concerns.
Adam believes neurodiversity is a strength and seeks to help clients embrace their unique gifts while building strategies to cope with life’s challenges. Outside of his work, Adam enjoys spending time with his four children, exploring the outdoors, and training as a beginner triathlete.
Nathan Craven (He/Him)
Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor
Nathan Craven, MS, is a dedicated Clinical Mental Health Counselor with strong ties to Southern Utah. He earned his Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, and his Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Southern Utah University in Cedar City, UT. Mr. Craven possesses extensive experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum, having served in roles as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). He now applies his expertise in the mental health therapy setting, committed to providing effective and compassionate care.
Mallory Harris
Advanced Doctoral Student in Clinical Psychology
Mallory graduated from Southern Utah University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2022 and is advancing her career in Clinical Psychology as a fourth-year doctoral student at the same institution. She will be joining Possibilities Counseling for a yearlong practicum, furthering her commitment to the field. Mallory’s dedication to child psychology is a driving force, and she intends to specialize in this area through a post-doctoral internship.
